Sunflower Gardens is an Alzheimer’s Specialty Center located in North Prince George, VA. The center features a Town Square from the 1920's thru the 1950's along with 3 neighborhoods that the residents occupy. There are outdoor walking trails, 7 porches, and several outdoor activity areas such as gardening. The concept for the center was to provide the highest level of care to residents while making them feel at home in an era of time they remember well. The Town Square features a 50's Diner Cafe, Market, Drugstore, Town Bank, Post Office, Theatre, Chapel, Salon/Barber Shop, and Tavern. There are also two faux store fronts that change seasonally for the residents to window shop at their lesuire. The center is designed to keep the residents active and help keep their minds young.
